Dear Friends in the Filipino Community in Japan,

The Filipino Japanese Movement for Global Peace (FJMGP) is pleased to invite you to join The Global Peace Festival in Japan 2008 (http://globalpeacefestival.org/)

             Date:    November 15, 2008

            Time:   9 am – 6 pm

            Place:   Ajinomoto Stadium

            Access:  5 minutes walk from Tobitakyu Station (Keio Line)

(Around 50,000 participants are expected. Please wear something purple which is the Filipino Color at the event. Also, please bring Philippine flag if you have one.)

Global Peace Exhibition 9 am – 3 pm (Calpis Field outside the stadium) Experience Philippine Culture at booths 1, 3, 14, and 25. Watch Philippine Dances from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Plus 85 more booths and 40 other nonstop performances from different cultures.

Main Event 3pm -5 pm (Ajinomoto Stadium ) Listen to Dr. Hyun Jin Moon, founder of GPF and our own Former Speaker of the House, Hon. Jose De Venecia Jr., and other world leaders talk about Peace with performances from great international and Japanese artists in between.

Charity Concert - 5pm to 6 pm: Relax and enjoy watching special guest performers while doing charity.

Participate: Please bring plastic bottle caps. With 400 caps we can purchase a vaccine for one child who may die without it. GPF will try to break the present Guinness World Record of 4 tons (about 1,630,000) of caps gathered in one event. So bring as many as you can and be a part of GWR! (www.re-lifestyle.com)

Tickets available@500 yen each for the first 300 people who will make reservations. The original price of 2,000 yen has been subsidized thanks to our sponsors: NTT Life Support Corp., MJEPAT, Ryo International Co.Ltd, Airmart, Cielo Int’l Ventures, Taiyo Corp., and KMC Service.
