The Association of Filipino Students in Japan The Association of Filipino Students in Japan (AFSJ) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to unite the Filipino students in Japan. It strives to assist its members to excel in their respective fields of study, serve as an active forum for student ideas, network with other student organizations, and cooperate with the rest of the Filipino community in Japan.
The AFSJ participates in the activities of the Philippine Embassy and other sectors of the Filipino community in Japan. It is actively involved in the Philippine Assistance Group (PAG), an organization providing aid for Filipinos in Japan in times of crisis. In addition, the AFSJ is one of the founding members of the ASEAN Youth Network in Japan (AYNJ) which brings together Southeast Asian student organizations in Japan.
Now on its 56th year, the AFSJ continues to foster camaraderie among the Filipino students by organizing get-togethers, sports festivals, cultural activities, and other social gatherings. |
