AFSJ General Assembly & Induction 2008

In spite of the dreary, cold and rainy weather that day, about 70 or more Filipinos students and guests attended the AFSJ General Assembly and Induction of New Officers and Members last May 31, 2008 (Saturday) at the Komaba Multi-purpose Hall.


The GA promptly began on schedule and the highlights of the event are as follows:
  • Induction of new members and the officers for 2008-2009;
  • Remarks from Consul Bong Carino of the Philippine Embassy in Japan;
  • Heartwarming and inspirational speech from Dr. Maria Carmelita Z. Kasuya (Prof., The University of Tokyo);
  • Outlining of activities for the current school year; and
  • Raffle draw and giving away of prizes.

The GA was capped off with fun socials over delicious Filipino food and some dancing.


The current roster of AFSJ officers would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the ever-supportive senpais, fellow students, the Philippine Embassy and its sponsors for this event (Philippine National Bank, Metrobank, Brastel, Jolly-B, Philippine Airlines, IPS).
